THE FUTURE STARTS HERE
The Normanby is perfectly located, nestled in a new urban renewal precinct in Melbourne’s inner-city, with both the CBD, Southbank and Fishermans Bend on its doorstep, and surrounded by the well-established areas, Port Melbourne and South Melbourne.
Fishermans Bend is Australia’s largest urban renewal project covering approximately 480 hectares in the heart of Melbourne. Fishermans Bend consists of five precincts across two municipalities – the City of Melbourne and the City of Port Phillip – and connect Melbourne’s CBD to the bay. It’s to be declared a ‘site of State significance and rezoned as part of an expanded Capital City Zone’.
With planning well underway, this will become the city’s most impressive new employment, residential, lifestyle, and education hub and house over 80,000 residents and provide employment for over 80,000 people in 2050.
Some of Australia’s leading education hubs including Melbourne University, RMIT University, Monash University and Victorian College of The Arts are expected to set-up new campuses in the area along with South Melbourne Primary School, Victoria’s first government vertical primary school.
